The Background
Gender Harmony was founded by Stephanie Aitken, a TEDx speaker and workplace gender diversity consultant, to help realise her vision of a world where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive.
Gender Harmony emerged over years of reflection, research and lived experience. Watching progress toward gender parity inch forward, witnessing the backlash against women’s rights and seeing increasingly polarised “gender wars”, Stephanie began questioning whether the current approach could ever take us where we need to go.
For a long time, she held the idea close, reluctant to enter such volatile territory. But as division deepened and progress reversed in parts of the world, the need for a different path became impossible to ignore.
That is how Gender Harmony came to life: and with it, the beginnings of the Gender Harmony Charter, a framework of guiding principles a philosophy designed to move us beyond conflict and competition, offering a way to create progress that uplifts everyone.
Today, the Gender Harmony Collective brings this vision into practice through a growing network of people and organisations worldwide who share this commitment to cooperation, compassion, and lasting change.
