Why do we need to move beyond gender equality?
For decades, gender equality has driven progress, transforming laws, workplaces and opportunities for women and girls. But despite this immense effort, the World Economic Forum predicts it will currently take an eye watering 123 years to reach global gender parity.

Worse, progress has slowed, and frustration is growing. Many now believe efforts for women’s rights have “gone too far.” The result is backlash, fatigue and polarisation — not the unity or fairness we hoped for.
​
The truth is, the current model of gender equality struggles to overcome these tensions because it seeks equality within systems that were never designed to serve everyone equally. It focuses on fixing disparities for women and girls but often overlooks how existing systems also harm men and exclude gender-diverse people. It inadvertently perpetuates the very dynamics that it seeks to solve, reinforcing "us versus them" mindsets and deepening division.

What the world desperately needs now are solutions that bring us together, not drive us further apart.

What is that evolution?
Gender Harmony is that evolution. It is a practical philosophy that seeks to create a world where everyone, regardless of gender, feels safe, valued and able to thrive.
Rather than seeking parity within broken structures in a way that excludes certain groups, Gender Harmony asks: How do we redesign our systems, cultures and conversations so that all genders can flourish together?
This philosophy comes to life through the Gender Harmony Charter, a framework of guiding principles that support us to think, communicate and make decisions in ways that better enable collective growth.
